My new fave phrase is "action absorbs anxiety". How have I never heard that one before?! It's so simple and beautiful. No more procrastinating your side project idea — your action will absorb your anxiety! Let's gooo!

I chatted this week with a designer who also codes a bit. His company has mandated use of cursor, even reprimanding those who don't use it enough. Sounds grim to me.

After being inspired by a book called "A Job To Love", I added some psychology writing into my book on switching careers to web dev. I have to say, this book writing thing is really fun.

A11y friends, can you please advise what WAI-ARIA pattern most closely matches the following?

A group of 3 buttons that act as information filters. Only one can be active at a time. They are not part of a form. Using JavaScript, they show or hide information based on the value of a data-attribute.

I wanted to check out the LinkedIn profile of someone new at work, saw how many people I know still post there, and decided to post about my book.

Result — I am going to be on a podcast talking about the book 😂

I can take two weeks off of work (a Bildungsurlaub) to learn anything I want. I'm thinking UI/UX design. If anyone can recommend an online course they or someone they know loved, I'd appreciate it! 🕵🏻‍♀️

Unpopular opinion: JavaScript isn't all that complicated. It's just... logical, innit?

412 tabs to reach the content 😅
In a workshop recently we tested the website of a huge German company. They had no skip link and they didn't hide their mega menu properly which means that users had to press Tab 412 times to get to the main content on every page. That's…uhm…problematic.

(PS: I've removed the logo and images)
