i do think however i hold myself to the standard of people who have been doing my job for the last 10, 20 years. i do not ever think of my skills in relation to my age, but rather, what i'm able to do. however, an important part of skill is also time spent developing a skill. a double-edged sword.

i'm terrified by the fact that he hasn't even been occupying the white house for 6 months yet. and things have gone this far. it will take years to redo everything that has been undone. i am so ashamed. and i hope every single american is too.

people are getting SNATCHED off the streets, from their jobs, their homes... children are being kidnapped from schools and daycares. i've *just* checked my bluesky for the first time in about a week and the first thing i see is that they're now focusing on NANNYs and CHILDREN in parks. fuck ICE.

the damage has been done. it's irreversible. most we can do is educate ourselves and those around us about what journalism is, does, and why it's important we pay for not only entertainment, but journalism to make sure the people providing us with the correct information can continue to do so.
