It's one of a /thousand/ callous things being done, but to take away the very land, these holy and majestic spaces that make up the mythic fabric of the country? It's a spiritual blow.
I will yet again be calling my representatives to tell them that this matters to me, and I hope you do too.

I went to seven national parks last year. I was (am?) excited to visit a bunch more in 2025.
It makes me so sad and angry that the Trump admin has gutted the parks budget and made our national lands objectively more unsafe and inaccessible to the American people.

Just finished my first read and whew. Really quite haunting
If you’re a big fan I’d be curious how you interpret the climactic scene at the end w/ all the neighbors. And or Beloved’s pov / nature / visions(?)
It all worked for me poetically / emotionally but I sorta felt like I missed something
