5 songs into the new album mastering & I realized I totally forgot to record a vocal part I wanted to do months ago. D'oh.
Out comes the #Copperphone! I just plugged it straight into the RME's preamp instead of my usual vox rig & plunked it on my desk. Git 'er done.

Doing some RX hiss removal on a Chapman Stick bass track for the new Failover album. Interesting how you can clearly see the regular rotating timbral sweeps of the phase shifter.

Interesting technical ironies: my live bass rig centers around my Eden amp that I've had for a very long time, with a SansAmp BDDI hitting the front of it. And now I'm basically (ha! Geddit?) using a virtual version of that for some of my recorded bass tracks. 😀

After several years in the making, at last I'm mixing the new album. 2024 has been a rollercoaster, filled with both heartbreak & triumph - which gets in the way of creative output, including music. Let's see what we can do now to get back on track. 🙂
