Wondering if this would be strangely useful for running old games 🤔

Germans often don't know what debit cards are and they sometimes confuse shopkeepers - because they somehow still use the EC card system which can only be used in person, so are totally reliant on credit cards or middleman services to do online purchases etc. German banking is stuck in the 80s.

Nordic countries have higher credit card use rates than the rest of Europe, but it's still not the norm. 98% use debit cards, 63% have credit cards, but don't necessarily use them.

I have it wishlisted (I use my wishlist as a calendar for indie releases), and the e-mail did indeed go out.

Unfortunately it isn't, which is why a number of sites will now simply block UK users rather than risk running afoul of those laws.

Who the fuck can take out a 50 year mortgage? How irresponsible does a bank have to be to offer one?

Honestly this feels intentional. The life expectancy of a man in the US is 75-76 years, so it seems many taking such a mortgage will die before they can pay it off, let alone retire.

The quality of that stream was an embarassment for sure. They're a billion pound company, and they didn't even *test* things before going live??
