Tonight, I'm going to dedicate my @resistanceschool.bsky.social lecture to Anas Al-Sharif, Lina Abu-Akleh, and the killings of Palestinian journalists by Israel.

Will introduce the concept of "journocide".

Opinion | A genocide is happening in Gaza. We should say so.
We can no longer hide the uncomfortable truths of Israel’s destruction of Gaza.

For all the desire to get western North Carolina back on its feet, the shared goal to move quickly is colliding with the reality that disaster recovery is almost always frustrating, tedious and too costly for most states to bear without a significant assist from the federal government.
Helene blew through nearly six months ago. North Carolina’s recovery has barely begun.
North Carolina lawmakers are pressing for faster action, even as the full scope of damage is not known and the extent of federal disaster aid remains uncertain.

Dear Democratic Party: why are you not screaming this from every rooftop? Why are you not holding press conferences with these poor fired people - putting a face on what the richest man is destroying?
“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my fucking firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”
Yesterday many thousands of federal employees were terminated. This is a Reddit thread for federal employees that got laid off.

Black women and Jewish women.

I'm talking about feeling it in the cells, our bones. Like, making emergency exit plans.

I'm not trying to be hyperbolic, just saying the truth.
