Tonight I was fortunate to see the opening night of #300paintings by Sam Kissajukian. This show felt deeply personal to this mentally ill former theatre kid who works for an art museum. Highly recommend, even if you aren't in that exact niche. Definitely stay for the exhibit gallery afterwards!

"I'll totally have the energy to cook dinner tonight after marching in a protest today," and other lies my overly optimistic disabled ass tells myself.

Worth it. Boston turned out for Labor Day, and it did my heart good to be a part of it.
The marching group from the UAW Region 9a arranged behind a red, white and blue walking banner that reads, "This is what democracy looks like". Many have blue UAW flags or signs and hand written signs as well. The city streets of Boston are behind them.

Today I can't, but I'm sticking around in the hopes that tomorrow I can, and for these two perfect cat shaped floofs who rely on me.

Mental health care is health care, and invisible disabilities are real.

If you're in Boston anytime before it closes, highly recommend ART's Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). Superbly acted and designed!

Just getting over being quite sick from flu-like illness. Cats and flowers have been my sanity for the last span of days.

The crowd of us who had just left the Lantern Ceremony and poured out into the streets cheered loudly as the images were projected onto Old North.
