What writing has taught me this week:
1. If a sentence makes me feel clever, it probably needs to be cut.
2. Pacing improves more from what I remove than what I add.
3. The first draft is for me - the edit is for the reader.

1. Stopping mid-chapter makes it easier to pick up the flow the next day
2. Skim the last chapter before writing, not just the last few lines

Like the setting sun,
Our time fades, preparing
For new dawns to come.
So treasure each grain,
before the hourglass grows full,

1. You don’t need inspiration to write. Starting often builds momentum.
2. The middle of a project is where confidence dips, but it’s also where the real work begins.
3. Deleting a weak paragraph still counts as progress.

I’ve always stuck to thrillers and mysteries, never thinking fantasy was for me.
But here I am, halfway through ACOTAR, my feed flooded with fantasy reviews, and my Amazon cart loaded with the rest of the series.
