PhD Nanoscience & Nanotechnology
In May 2024 I finally defended my PhD thesis!

Nowadays I'm still working for EJR-Quartz, supporting ESA's Earth observation and Space Transportation directorates, and I also have my own projects.

Hope that wasn't too long - thanks for reading!

In 2019, I started my PhD in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology while living a double life as a scientific content creator on social media.
In 2022, I joined EJR-Quartz as a Social Media Editor for Earth observation - my first official scicomm job!

Right after finishing my MSc, I continued working on the topic and created the amazing chemist instagram page: www.instagram.com/amazingchemist. I started investing my time in science communication and enrolled in digital marketing courses that allowed me to explore and grow in this area.

After my BSc in Chemistry, I joined a Masters in Biomedical Materials and Devices and started working as a Researcher developing Iron Selenide (Fe3Se4) nanoparticles and explore their magnetic properties.

But it all started when I was 18 and moved to Aveiro to study Chemistry. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with Materials Science and I quickly decided to do a Minor in that area.
I started volunteering in a laboratory preparing magnetic nanoparticles, a very attractive field, pun intended.
