Oooh, thanks for the book rec! This sounds right up my alley.

Our local farmer's market has a vendor who was giving away pizzas for free, no questions asked. Lots of community members stepped up to make donations. ❤️ It gives me hope to see people taking care of their fellow humans.

This reminds me of when Cenk Uygur ran for Katie Hill's vacated seat in #CA27. He managed 6.6% in the special primary election, and 5.9% in the general primary election. Not even top 3. (At least he did better than coffee boy George Papadopoulos.)

So true! We keep trying. My dear friend and organizing partner is an absolutely amazing baker. She always has something whipped up when we're setting up a canvass.

I believe that 100%! I will fully admit to being one who shows up without signing up 😂 Friends/family I bring don't sign up either. For canvassing it's a lot harder to get attendance (understandably). And we've had folk not sign up or use a fake name/burner email because they are worried.
