I have in the past regretted not being so blunt. (It wasn't someone I had history with, but in my case that was the issue. They were making claims about a situation I wasn't comfortable taking their word on. I wish I'd conveyed I was going to do some digging, they thought I was brushing them off).

It's partly explained by the way the hair you cut off is no longer weighing down (and hence somewhat straightening out) the hair that remains, but I'm not entirely convinced that that's the whole story there.

Kind of busy, kind of quiet. Flying visit to Melbourne for a conference for a few days last month, took a week to recover. Slightly overextended myself helping a friend get back on their feet too, but everything's coming together now.
