In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

OPM sends an email telling people to respond or it counts resigning. That’s so blatantly illegal, even your new FBI head told his folks not to respond, as did State. Apparently a defense official responded to a reporter with an Elmo dumpster fire to describe their situation. That sounds about right.

I have friends sobbing as they resign. I have employees scared of what is coming. My spouse is crazy stressed. I’m stressed as fuck but feel like I’m supposed to keep it all together for everyone around me. Can’t possibly imagine why I’m not sleeping well and have no patience 😑🙄

I remember reading somewhere that it took 56 days (don't quote me, I know it was close to that) to go from elected leader to dictator. Wonder when we start the clock on Trump. Seriously, I have never been a freak out person, but even I am getting concerned.

The problem with folks focusing on the courts pushing back on Trump is that they are assuming this administration will listen. I fear that is a fallacy. Congress is in his pocket at the moment, and he nor his group of broligarchs give a shit.
