Hello! This is the Narrator Seyjan is referencing. Q4 is extraordinarily busy, but I'd definitely still love to take a look and give feedback/pitch a game or two at my usual crew with the class options.

Really liking everything we've seen with A5E Level Up and the crew is extremely excited!

You were the one who said everyone is overreacting. That "it needs to be turned ~on~ in the server" and "artwork can be shared safely". I asked you to show me how to turn it on/off.

I... That was my whole point? People are upset because there's no way for a individual server to get rid of or block the apps Discord just added to *all* servers via the "Edit Image with Apps" context menu. Any user can use AI on an image an artist shared with their server community.

It's also a moderation nightmare. Do you run a very chill, friendly server and you don't want things like Glifbot being able to "roast" screenshots? Nope, can't turn it off.

So. There is no way for artists to prevent a member of their server feeding their work directly into an AI.

Discord added the "Edit Image with Apps" context menu to *every* server. It is on by default and there is no server setting to toggle access. ALL you can do with existing settings is prevent the AI bots from sending the *results* to your server.

OK. Show me the setting that actually works, and a screenshot of an image on your server without the context menu available. I will happily eat crow if I can successfully disable my end users being able to access AI.

With the setting you mention, you can prevent the AI bots in the "Edit Image with Apps" from sending the *results* to your server. But it doesn't prevent members or users from using the AI apps on images posted in the server. So no way to prevent a server user feeding their work directly into AI.

You can prevent the AI bots from sending the *results* to your server. But artists *cannot prevent community members or users from using the AI apps* on images posted to their servers. So there is no way for artists to prevent a member of their server feeding their work directly into AI.

I am trying really hard to assume you're speaking in good faith and not a troll. Discord added the "Edit Image with Apps" context menu to *every* server. It is on by default and there is no server setting to toggle it. I have disabled *every* app setting. Server admins cannot remove it right now.
May 22, 2025 at 3:32 AM
You are missing the entire point. Because this app was forced into every server and admins can't turn it off/opt out, there is no way for artists to share their art on their servers safely. It's not acceptable - I canceled my Nitro and I'm (agonizingly) looking for alternatives to discord.
