Treasure hunter of the best kind of hidden gems–old movies. May post math facts. Don’t tempt me, I’ll do it.
This is wonderful. Such a great idea. Love it.

My two biggest complaints about TV scripts from new/emerging writers

One is choreography on the page. You need to know where people are, where they are going, when they enter. You have to tell the reader enough to picture the scene in your head.

Another shorter TV writing thread.

Every show has a dramatic question that holds it together, that every episode attempts to answer. What do we lose when we try and sell everything? Can we run away from our trauma? What would you do to save your family? Is friendship more important than romance?

With 2024 Austin Film Festival recently concluding, figured I'd "post for posterity" on Bluesky that after editing my pilot script NOT QUITE GODFORSAKEN last year, it made it to this year's Second Round, placing it in the top 20%! This is the second year in a row it has been recognized by Austin.

This last weekend, was at the Academy Museum for movie trivia night hosted by Cory Everett of Cinephile: A Card Game. After a very competitive bout of over 40 teams, ours won first place!

Go Team “That Caviar is a Garnish!” (theme was comedy films centered around romantic-comedies 😆).
