This is todays watercolour practice- I used pencil colour to add details and texture - I’ve definitely not mastered watercolour yet but I’m enjoying the process of learning ❤️🎨

My first illustration of 2025- Sleeping beauty inspired of course! I’ve always loved the art in this movie and definitely want to try and achieve some of those beautiful gouache landscapes it showcases!

Does any other kidlitartist worry about what style is best to work in children’s book illustrating? I keep going back and forth between a more textured look vs a “cleaner” look with little bits of texture- am I over thinking it or is there a preference? #kidlitartists #kidlitillustrators
