The university is a contradictory space. It is exclusionary yet rests on sacred ground. It holds the potential for liberation and transformation through truth-telling scholars who refuse to cede stories about the past and present—and their potential to enact more just futures. (2/4)

Democracy WORKS through solidarity and coalition building. Fascism works by eliminating rights for some--and by doing so, making everyone else believe democracy isn't necessary as long as *their* needs are met, and surely *their* rights will be protected. until it's too late.
