- tl;dr, greedy! 😈 —really harkens back to my 6.006 (now 6.1210) days, now four years ago…
- long ver: found the maximum monotonically decreasing substring, not necessarily continuous, of length 12
(code in previous post 😊)

i really enjoyed doing this one! perhaps because it was relatively simple and made me feel smart: adventofcode.com/2025/day/3

pt 1:
- split id down the middle
- checked 1st half == 2nd half
pt 2:
- iterated thru possible lengths for repeated segment
- added to a set to get unique segments
- set length of 1 means invalid

decided that accuracy on first submission is more important to me than speed, so here we are: adventofcode.com/2025/day/2

- parsed L/R representation to pos and neg numbers
- count every time sum (mod 100) is 0
- rewrote each representation as individual turns (L2 >> L1, L1)
- used prev. function to count
not the most efficient, but am gunning for accuracy

i'm, admittedly, not great at coding, so this is a real challenge.. but i made it through day 1: adventofcode.com/2025/day/1

look out for something else interesting this afternoon!
some (very) helpful clues: 🎁🎄👩🏻💻👾

took this as more of a drawing challenge for the record player, but knew that was the immediate vibe i wanted to go for... and a chance to share one of my favorite artists #m21cb #raye 🎵
i'm going to try to take slow moving forward.. life is too busy
day 9/100
this #dailyui challenge is for a marina, which i've been researching A LOT at work so it's been top-of-mind ⛴️ 😅
love the almost-indie color palette in this image; hopefully catching up!

this one took a while because of all the details, but had a lot of fun making this! idea is a tutor-booking app ☺️
spent a lot of time on fully utilizing and understanding frames in #figma
+ hire me for your tutoring needs ✏️
big brands use recognized logos as the app icon. scrolled on my phone and found the #goat app. the font is small, and icon is unintuitive
my design:
✅ checkmark for verification
✅ geometric style for innovation
day 5/100
went for a recreation of the #apple calculator because am convinced that this calculator is already well-designed! 🍎
used this as an opportunity to learn about and use frames as "flex containers" !! will be using them more in the future 🔥
day 4/100
i love this museum, but thought their site could use a bit more style to highlight the artwork immediately.
still a #figma newbie, would love to prototype this in the future 😁

day 3/100
much faster than day 1 in #figma! focused on smaller screen first, created desktop-size screen using the same components with more ecommerce-specific sections.
blue theme for #finance, then realized it's not a finance app 😭
day 2/100
as a new #figma user, i spent much longer on this than i probably should've, but i learned a lot about how to use components and frames to make designing easier 😊
learned that i should start with a model with a smaller screen and scale up 😅
