Dig deep - beyond the lies we are told and the darkness we combat - and seek compassion and mercy. Cup your hands into the well of truth and brilliance and passion. Find the part of you that loves despite it all.

We must be the light. The armor. And the shield. For those less powerful. For those who are threatened. For those who have yet to love themselves.

This is my plea on this day of love: close your eyes and reach into yourselves and seek the grace you were born with.

This is not a political fight anymore (it truly never has been). This is a fight for good. For decency. For the care of us all. Some eyes are glazed over by lies and the deception of men who will cling to their power because they don’t have love to turn to.

While the definitions might look different for some, the reality never changes. We are ALL worthy. Of care. Of hope. Of opportunity. Of freedom.

Of love. Of love. Of love.

Look around you. Our nation is currently being overrun by hate. By greed. By corruption.

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another. (Zechariah 7:9-10; Hebrew Bible)

Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me. (Matthew 25:40)

I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. (Matthew 25:35)

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)
