Here it is in St Ives. Whethfyans an Mortyd (Surge of the Tide). Oil and log ash. It's based on the harbour in my village and rising seas.

I've been battling with this sodding painting for months. What ever possessed me to decide to paint a sunny barley field?
Not at all happy with it but thought I'd share to show I've been painting & what an effing tortuous process it can be. Might be destined for the bin

Went to the pub early doors yesterday and got a bit squiffy. Needless to say I've been feeling a bit jaded today but a couple of glasses of wine and I'm feeling much better 😂

Lovely walk and art activity today with Cornwall Heritage Trust at Sancreed Beacon. Wonderful views, bronze age remains and a woodland filled with moss and lichen. Highly recommend visiting if you can.

Whilst working on some new paintings I went back to this one which I started 18 months ago but was never happy with. Still unhappy with it but Good to remember a lovely November day at Cape Cornwall.

Late night alcohol fuelled scribbling on an underpainting in my chaotic kitchen. Trying to get the composition right to my eye. Scribbles in pastel on an acrylic base. Oils will cover it all up!

I effing hate "process"

I'll probably regret posting this..
