It's URGENT that we hit the phone lines this weekend re: the "Big, Beautiful" Senate bill, especially if you're a constituent of Sen. Paul (KY), Tillis (NC), Johnson (WI), Collins (ME), or Hawley (MO).

If you aren't sure what to say, I've drafted a script.

I have serious concerns about this legislation. The bill cuts Medicaid and SNAP to pay for tax breaks for the wealthy. These cuts will hurt our rural hospitals, and research shows Medicaid work requirements strip coverage from vulnerable people without increasing employment. In fact, CBO just estimated that the bill would cause nearly 12 million Americans to lose their health insurance while adding over $3 trillion to the debt. The bill also shifts Medicaid costs to [YOUR STATE NAME], which could force cuts to services for older adults and people with disabilities. Please urge Senator [NAME] to vote NO. Can you share my concerns with [HIM/HER] and let me know [HIS/HER] position? Thank you."
