So cancer. It's a big scary thing, right? Except for not actually so much. See, here's the thing with modern medicine - it works pretty well. I've had thyroid problems since I was about 14 - I've been on hormone supplements since then.

Seriously, has one of those irritating-constant-honking car alarms ever actually stopped a car theft or anything? They're so ubuquitious that every time I hear one I think, 'will you please turn that off, stupid?' not "A car is being stolen!"

When I was a kid, we used to go to an amusement park for my baby brother's birthday, he was born in August so it was hard to get a party together, so he'd invite two friends and we'd go to King's Dominion for the day. My mom would always point out how radical the founding fathers were:
