Yeah, have a couple of them near me, I wouldn't consider that lane to be the kind of thing being discussed here, it's got its own signaling and a separate pedestrian button. That lane still has to stop for pedestrians you can't just creep over them like in the rtor in the states.

Nope. If the light is red, you stop. Also when the light is red it's likely that pedestrians will be crossing so not safe to drive over their pathway.

No idea if Lovett has got over here, I've always liked him and LOLI out of the bros/pods. He seems more self aware and progressive than the others. Recently he's been promoting talking to people in person more and connecting and community rather than socials, appeals to me as a quasi-online person.

Had a gut feeling 3 years ago when I got ILR that it wouldn't be safe to just stay on it indefinitely and a lot of people thought I was being paranoid for rushing straight to citizenship when I didn't technically need to. I worry now too - again! - even with my UK passport! Might never be safe.

I listened to this yesterday and learnt of the existence of raccoon dogs and THE VERY NEXT DAY saw a raccoon dog exhibit in this little seaside zoo in East Yorkshire. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.

If I relied on Google AI summary at work for so much as an email I would get a talking to from my boss. I have yet to find any topic that the AI summary has been correct about. Why are these people using it at all, and why are they using it as evidence in a piece that's being published?!

Bipartisanship is the result of good-faith responsible governance, it is not the cause.

Trying to create good results by seeking bipartisanship with Nazis is like sleeping in a yellowjacket nest for the honey.

/5 Believe in hope even if you don’t feel it right now. Ask for support. Lean on loved ones and friends. It will get better even if you can’t see it now.

/4 So: if you’re not in a great place this week, if your depression and anxiety are on an upswing, then I’d just ask you to engage in a moment of faith. I’d ask you to imagine, to hypothesize, that things will get better, that this will pass, that there is hope, because I know it’s hard to see.

/3 That’s because depression and anxiety lie to you, rob you of context, shut you away from hope. They make you forget and disbelieve the thing you know — that things can get better, that they WILL get better. That people care. That you can get help.

Same! I've recently come across a link in someone's email block (Name.pn) to this, which they had filled out and it was tremendous as they had an ambiguous first name and a tricky-for-me surname. I've done one for myself now as well for my emails.
