I’ve read the book, but it’s been a really long time. IIRC, there are a lot of differences between the musical and the book though.

I’m really excited to see the movie with my friend. We have matching “Changed for Good” shirts to wear (hers is green, mine is pink). I think it’s going to be great, even if it’s different.

I think that’s going to be my biggest struggle to enjoy the movie, TBH. Letting go of those expectations will help though. Film is a different medium than stage, so of course things will be different. This is my hang-up to get over and not a criticism of anyone.
