And if you like a little humour with your horror, try the Spud Compton novella trilogy.

1989 - Pick one (thanks to Tones Of Music on X):

For me, Aerosmith’s Pump wins, with Motley Crue and Skid Row coming next. All this despite one of my favourite ever songs Edie (Ciao Baby) being on The Cult’s Sonic Temple.

What’s your pick?

If anyone’s wondering why I’m doing Supanova Brisbane but not Supanova Adelaide - as much as I’d love to do Supanova Adelaide again (haven’t been since 2018!), it’s because I already had tickets to see these fellas in Perth this weekend. 🎤 🎸 🥁 🤘🏻

I’m looking forward to meeting readers in Brisbane and hanging with this great bunch of authors at the QBD Literary Legends stand on 8-9 November!

Note to self: must give QBD an updated headshot. My hair’s more blonde these days (gotta hide the grey). 😂 🤫

Tonight I attended ‘Our Great State: In Film Conversation’ with Actress - Kate Walsh, Director at Home Fire - Howard Cearns, Producer - Martha Coleman, & Perth Film Studios CEO - Tom Avison. It was great to hear the panel’s thoughts on the new studio & the future of screen production in Perth/WA.
