The Silo is a series where they put the IT guy in charge and he thought he was being so sneaky. Just saying, it’s a pretty great show.

The RootTrees are Dead is Obra Dinn with some helpful guides to make it easier to make leaps AND juicy gossip in place of tentacles. Part 2 is the absolute best. Highly recommend!
The Roottrees are Dead is now out on Steam!

Solve the mysteries of the Roottree family in this puzzle game that's been described as Return of the Obra Dinn meets Her Story:

Nintendo has shown they can and will innovate when their products aren’t meeting player needs.

The Switch is a handheld AND couch console that is easily the best console design we’ve ever seen, though the hardware is a bit anemic.

Innovation for the sake of innovation loses your audience.

So, we’re all ok with Indiana Jones bludgeoning the blind man? I spent ages sneaking around that room trying to escape it because I felt sure we weren’t meant to kill him. If I’m honest, I’m not super thrilled with all the priceless relic smashing either.

I was not prepared for how grateful people are just to hear from a recruitment team saying “we’re still working through applications, you’ll hear from us after the holidays.”

The bar is insanely low for studios providing some basic courtesy to folks. It’s rough out there.

Honored to have scored such a dazzling animation for Studio Drydock's upcoming game! ✨

The performances from the musicians truly blew me away; please hire these folks for your recording needs! (Credits below) ⤵️

Infinity Nikki might be the most impressive, most feminine game I’ve ever seen. Every UI screen looks like it was a different 20 people’s life’s work. The company has ~1,000 employees, so it might be true.

When I started a studio to make the kinds of games I wanted to make, I didn’t realize I’d still be plagued by all the silly little games I want to make, but only I would play.

An Au law banning <16 YOs from everything except YouTube and games is a pretty big gap in their social presence, isn’t it? I just have no idea what this law is even meant to achieve, but I’m pretty sure if it isn’t covering those two spaces it’s failing at it.

Does anyone know who is encouraging artists to create custom portfolio websites for job applications? I’d like to have a quiet word…and reclaim the many, many hours I’ve lost to load times and navigation.

What are the criteria for best game direction? That feels like it would be hard to quantify if you weren’t part of the team building that specific game. Explain it to me like I’m five so I can understand why they’re the same list as the GotY noms. Signed, a game director.
