I’ve been observing timelines and it’s good to see such a variety of colleagues now taking part in shared island/constitutional conversations in recent times. I mean, you know I know all too well it wasn’t always this relaxed lol but it’s far too important to leave to eejits.

It’s my late nana’s birthday today. Alice was a Millie (doffing mistress), a home help, and a no nonsense north Belfast woman who loved her family. She liked salt in her porridge and Hennessy in her tea. She was 96 when she died in 2016. #ballysillan #uppawomen💞

Just been to see #NakedGun It was good craic. Silly fun. 85 minute special. Ballymena’s testosterone filled heterosexual manly man Liam Neeson wears a short skirt in one scene if any arts crusaders want to moral panic about the possible consequences and picket the cinemas😂

Anti racism “No more racism” graffiti under a billboard in #Larne. A reminder for those tarring all residents of towns as the same that they are as bad as the racists. I firmly believe that decent, peaceful, welcoming people are the majority on this island & always will be. #ireland #northernireland

Writing about this week’s violence in Northern Ireland in today’s Observer with John Simpson. Former PSNI Chief Constable Hugh Orde is critical of “successive government’s failure to honour the Patten report”, and of community leaders showing “no sign of stepping up” #buyapaper
