I just learned that under Trump’s NIH they will not support animal research. Are we going to test drugs on humans without first going through an animal model? Are we going to take pieces of brain from humans to assess toxic pathogens ?Who’s going to be first to sign up ? Can I see a show of hands?

When I was a professor I was not allowed to take a plastic pen from a scientific company because it would represent a potential conflict of interest. I guess those ethical rules only apply to us “little people “

My mother told me that after WWII, upon visiting Germany, she said no one said they were a Nazi. Everyone they spoke to denied any association with the Nazi party. Long after this national nightmare, will all these republicans deny that they were an American Nazi (ala MAGA)?

Every couple of days I call my republican senators and ask for them to support Ukraine and stop Trumps move towards oligarchy and authoritarianism I am not sure it moves the needle but if we all keep shouting maybe …just maybe?
