Department of Ed just cut the funding for children’s television shows on PBS. Why? The @nytimes.com describes gutting fed regulators as a “win” for companies. That’s wrong. Large institutions benefit from balanced fed regs more so than a patchwork of state supervision. Regulation can allow companies to innovate with reduced litigation risk and be trusted by consumers. Not a win.
