As a (software) engineer, saying I'm against developing tools for automating tasks would be very hypocritical. Saying I only oppose that when it could automate MY tasks is even more so.

Github Copilot reviews are trash. We've been experimenting with Charlie and it's actually useful. The difference is big.

I see this in our development team in that people tend to generate more, but lower quality code which is slower to check for bugs.

Fair. Anyway, that might be an example of right wing politics over decades bringing a lot of wealth to a nation as a whole.

What you read might well have had racist motives, but their math was right in this. I have seen this misconception before. The 4.8x difference in murder rate is not explained by the difference in pop size.

Right, so two questions. Can AI be sentient in theory and is it relevant right now?
I don't see why feelings would be unique to carbon and hydrogen. To me it's clear AI could have feelings.
And just because there are more urgent issues doesn't mean it shouldn't be discussed.
Not relevant atm tho.

Siksi liberaali-konservatiivi tai vasemmisto-oikeisto ovat vain joitain valintoja, joilla kuvata tätä jakoa.
Kai voitaisiin käyttää kyttävihamieliset-ilmastoskeptiset jakoa, ja päädyttäisiin suunnilleen samaan merkitykseen.

Well, their actions have a scale factor. A bad decision can destroy the company. Good leadership can bring in billions.
IMO the problem isn't good leaders earning fortunes. The problem is bad CEOs are also being rewarded in some cases. That's what I don't get.
