#hsr the reason why amphoreus seems easier to understand than penacony is because they're two different storytelling genres. penacony was a modern murder mystery, where you trust no one and everyone has hidden motivations. amphoreus is a classic epic story, straightforward and full of grand battles

#hsr fun fact castorice's outfit is vaguely inspired by mycenaean women's clothing. you can't really tell if you don't know what to look for, but mycenaean women wore tight bodices with breasts exposed, flounced skirts at waist height, really complex hairstyles (locks, buns, curls, tresses, etc (+)

Not just that, her names Cyrene (from "Kyrene": sovereign queen)/昔涟 (past ripples) carry a lot of meaning, as Kephale "relinquished their throne of dominion over the world, solely to leave a glimmer of light for humanity". The story of Cyrene and Phainon mirrors the story of Kephale and light.

#hsr currency wars cerydra is a little freak yes but currency wars himeko is downright fucked up in the head and the crucial difference is that cerydra will keep stacking her skill to the limit like a personal pun but himeko will follow up TEN TIMES IN A ROW and not bat an eye like that's normal
