That's not the whole story. Like it happened and it did impact people but let's not pretend that the french government telling school teachers "Surtout rappelez-vous, messieurs, que vous n'êtes établis que pour tuer la langue bretonne." didn't have an impact.

If you're still interested, I have my mum's textbook and it's considered one of the best ressources because it has massive pronunciation guides and dialect notes but it's in french

You're not dumb don't be mean to yourself it's a reasonable assumption if you don't have the context.

To answer your question there are a few words that are from french or Latin in breton and words from breton in french (and some of the nasal vowels are similar) but that's your only vague adventage
