I really loved this book. It’s my favorite Darva Green book by far. Green was on the nose with the foreshadowing, but it was handled really well despite the predictability of the storyline. If you need a good fated lovers story, this is the one!

This was a cute and short story about two ladies falling in love. It was incredibly cute, chock full of unexpected moments, and it had so many funny footnotes.

@alenacerulean.bsky.social knows how to weave a scene! Oh my gosh the ending had me in a vice grip, I cannot believe that happened. And the epilogue!!
As usual, her book was hot and had me gasping at every turn. If she doesn’t crank out another book I might cry, actually.

She felt the tingling rush of midnight and so did I.
Idk what to say. I’m flustered.
You can read it as a standalone if you don’t want to read the first in the series!

If you like a hot-for-boss romance with some great sapphic chemistry, this is your book! Roslyn Sinclair is always one for good plot and immersive characters, and it’s safe to say she didn’t disappoint with this book either.

My 69 day streak would start with “The X Ingredient” by Roslyn Sinclair! It’s tagged as “extra spicy” on fable 😂
February 9, 2025 at 8:01 PM
The plot was good, maybe a bit rushed at the end, but listen… the spicy scenes are where this book shines. The connection between these two oblivious women is insane, and I’m still blushing long after some of the scenes between them.

Of course Monica McCallan nailed it on the head again: this story is sweet, hot, and playful. McCallan knows how to pull the emotion she wants from you!

This book moved me to tears more times than I care to admit. It’s inspiring, eye-opening, and just a dang good story. The second I finished it, I sent it to my family members to go read. I’m still crying, let’s be real!

The main character was such an oblivious grump. Very relatable! But gosh I was screaming at her to open her eyes during some parts. This was honestly such a delightful read, though.

Out of the 22 books I’ve read this year, these are my top rated in no particular order. My favorite has to be a tie between “Women’s Hotel” and “Run Baby Run!” #wlwbooks

This book was so clever. I really felt like I was a part of this women’s hotel, with all of the different personalities and problems that each lady faced. I’ll definitely be reading again!

I’ll add some of the tw I noticed here:

Rachel Cochran really sat down, made a list of all the worst things that can happen in a lifetime, and put it in a book.
This is one of my favorite reads this year, but check out the content warnings and read this only if you’re in a good headspace.

I just need everyone to know you can start whenever you want. Your journey doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s.
It took 26 years for me to get into reading, and now I’m 90 books deep in 6 months.

Also side note: Rachel Cochran is so good at what she does, love that she is on my 50 day streak.

Oh my gosh this book was so good. It never went the direction I assumed it would, and it was surprisingly funny. Another 5 star read for the year!
If you’re looking for a funny yet emotional closed-door romance, this is your book.

I loved how this was written, and honestly I could read twice as much of this story. Great sapphic awakening story, and lovely style of writing.
I don’t often love coming of age, but she wrote it like it wasn’t just for young queers.

This queer fantasy had me kicking my feet and also clutching my pearls.
Whatever you do going into this novel, don’t set your expectations low. Or maybe do, and be pleasantly surprised.

This book was so darn cute. Interesting and dynamic characters, great chemistry, believable conflicts. The ending had me tearing up a little! If you want an easy to read, fantasy feel-good story, this is the one.

Get yourself a big cup of chai tea to read this one 😉
It’s very hot, but also really sweet as well. I loved the ending!

You know it’s a good book when you have to take a breather after it ends. All I can say is that I’ll be scrambling to get the second in the series when it comes out because there is no way it ends this way. Dark, action-packed, some spice, what more can you ask for?

This was a nice read. I didn’t expect it to be so funny, but I genuinely didn’t stop laughing the whole way through.
I needed something light, and this was the perfect fit.

Every great once in a while, a book stirs something deep within you. Changes you in ways that linger.
Out of the 70 books I’ve read in the past 6 months, this is the one I recommend. Pick it up. You won’t regret it.
