Hey, if you haven't seen it, the Julie Andrews Sounds of Christmas special is excellent! Placido Domingo, John Denver, and the King's Singers. (I know Placido is problematic.)

So that I would believe. Some of those hard shell plastic cases a la a middle school horn, built to survive said middle schoolers? DEFINITELY heavier than a bowling ball.

Oh nerts. I have a detachable bell horn which means I can fit it in a nice - but theoretically baggage-handler-proof - lightweight backpack case, maybe + 4 lbs. I did horn check for the International Horn Society meetup this summer and some of those suckers in cases can be murder on the elbows.

Okay so since I'm working at home today and For Science:
My horn, which is on the "heavier side" of a normal professional horn, was 6.6 lbs. (There are fancier professional horns that have extra bits that would be closer to 10, I think.)
Bowled a 12 lb ball in high school though? Ball > horn

As soon as Cris Collingsworth was like "Bills will be 5-0...the Super Bowl favorites" I was like well that's torn it, they're gonna lose now.
At least it was part of a crazy week of upsets and double-digit comebacks, and the Eagles & Chiefs also lost. :)

I got the picnic blanket (fleece on one side, tarp on the other) that folds up from the 2014 kickstarter and I still use it all the time.
