So here's the thing about these small grants. They actually do a lot to make sure we're not competing with, you know, slave labor. And promoting gender equity in the workplace means helping women get into decent jobs so they can support their families and not feel the need to migrate here!

When President Trump issued an ultimatum to Columbia University — canceling $400 million in funding and demanding an overhaul of its admissions and disciplinary rules — it launched the institution into a crisis. Legal scholars say it may have also violated the law and the Constitution.
Legal Experts Question Trump’s Authority to Cancel Columbia’s Funding
The government has demanded drastic changes to the university before it will consider reinstating $400 million. Lee C. Bollinger, the school’s former president, calls it an “existential threat.”

And when have they ever gotten something like this wrong….
We don’t if they were gang members, only that Trump’s DOJ says they were. But they’ve had no trials. They are “accused.” They are “alleged” to be members of a gang that Trump has named. And now they are vanished.

This is an actual nightmare and we should be up in arms.
250 Venezuelans have been disappeared into one of the worst prisons in Central America based on Trump’s invocation of a law only used 3 times in our history - the last time resulted in the Japanese-American internment. These men have had no due process. It’s monstrous.

🚨 THIS IS DICTATOR BEHAVIOR 🚨

Trump just declared that he will VOID Biden’s pardons — including for members of the January 6th Committee. This isn’t just an attack on Biden — it’s a direct threat to political dissent and a chilling escalation of political persecution.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.
