I'm biased toward Red Wings since they're from MN but both pairs I have are extremely nice. The leather on the heritage pair is beyond gorgeous even if break-in was brutal and there's very little cushion to the soles. Steel toes were comfortable out of the box. Both polish *very* nicely as well.

they do in fact! it just consists of a small setter post and anvil setup that you use to hammer on the speed hook. depending on how it works out, you may need to remove the eyelet first, which can be done by taking needle nose pliers and crushing in the backing.
