My wife made scones yesterday (together with the sourdough and focaccia), and I had one with lunch today with home made ham made by a friend. It was very good!

I've just returned from the Lads roast dinner in Leeds. A new establishment: the Brewery Wharf Tavern (the same folks who run Whitelock's and White Cloth Hall). Good quality and value.

Excellent! It was surprised to have a text from Katie my daughter at at 4.20pm to say was she was at the LGI and then at 6.20pm to say Granddaughter was born at 5.20pm. So when you said you were celebrating your birthday, I had no idea my Granddaughter would be sharing it with you!

I've only just accepted they're a teacake. Where I'm from they're buns and teacakes have currants and fruit in. In this part of Yorkshire if you want a teacake with currants and fruit in you must ask for a current teacake.
