Valuable reminder of how #Medicaid benefits states and their residents. Medicaid covers #preventivecare to #hospitalstays and #prescriptiondrugs. Medicaid also pays for almost 50% U.S. births, and is the largest payer of #longterm care, #behavioralhealth.

Federal $ makes up 1/3 of state budgets. In 24 states it makes up more than 1/2. Draconian #Medicaid cuts along with many other legislative proposals being considered would shift massive costs to states. That means higher taxes & deep cuts to health care and education.
