I was delighted to be an invited speaker on a brilliant panel last week celebrating a year of The British Academy's London Cluster of its ECR Network #BAECRN. It felt inspiring & timely to discuss ways to sustain & promote SHAPE subjects at this particular critical historical conjuncture.

Bronze side door ('Ljubljana Door'), St Nicholas' Cathedral, Ljubljana. Depicts 6 Bishops in mitres holding Christ's enshrouded body. Light was lovely that day & the door sculpture fascinating; so yeah, took a pic!

Remembering today the time when Miss Green (my 'A' level English teacher) lent me her copy of Descartes' Philosophical Writings. She said I 'think in that sort of way' & might enjoy it. I knew nothing of philosophy previously. All her fault then! ; )
