The house has such an inspired design, with glass walls and floors allowing people to see into the other brightly lit rooms all around the house. Then Act 2 takes place in the basement with the lights out.

This was my first time reading that, and I think my brain just pulled a muscle. I had to scroll back to make sure it was indeed a movie review and not one for a video game that somehow flew under my radar but not Rex Reed’s? Then I wondered if Rex thought at one point it WAS a video game?? Baffling.

“I have a message for you, and you’re not going to like it.” I love this movie for all sorts of reasons, but Liquid Satan making catty remarks is way up there.
