You are NOT doing everything in your power. You aren't moving for impeachment for war crimes. You aren't getting Schumer out, so we can have a competent opposition. And you aren't resigning in shame after voting to open the government without anything for your constituents who had to sacrifice.

To wrap, this is the *first time in history* that the party in power was being blamed for a shutdown, bc Trump's brand is "I can do anything." We finally got a chance to make that a dilemma for them, but these 8 either didn't understand the difference vs past shutdowns or didn't care.

Counter3: If this was the right time and price, why not *lead* and say that? No one believes it's a coincidence none of the 8 are up for reelection, they knew this was unpopular and did it anyway. If the whole party save a few are saying "no" then you can't moan when those few are seen as traitors.

Counter2: Of all things why target a vote on ACA subsidies? They admit, to "show where the GOP stands". (1) We already know, they campaign on anti-ACA. (2) It's so the Dems can run ads "X voted to raise healthcare." So ppl get nothing, but the Senators maintain their seats. Again, it's insulting.

Counter1: Why not reopen a week+ prior? Your article ignores that *even if we grant your args* these things were true the whole time. Feds went without pay for 40 days so NOVA would turn out for Spanberger. It's insulting.
