This book tore apart the notion that the Third Reich was a well-oiled machine: "Blitzed" by Norman Ohler (2017). Based on Nazi files, it’s a stunning report on widespread drug use and distribution as official government policy! Well-written, with shocking accounts of use and abuse. Blew my mind!

Just getting into this great book about the Wide Awake movement, fascinating history, very well written, with parallels to our current political climate. I highly recommend it!
