I built my first computer in 1984. It had a 72M hard drive that cost $2K. The main board had a 68K CPU, 1 MB RAM and ran UNIX S5R0. It had a 5.25" tape drive, floppy drive, and 4-slot Multibus card cage. I don't recall the prices of each part but the total including hard drive was around $5K.
