Redwall was a pretty formative book for me as a kid!

That is really cool.

Any pictures of how these come out when attached to a costume together?

Sounds like someone needs some more filament or a spare part
April 14, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Oh the colored caps is very clever. I like that!
April 14, 2025 at 3:01 PM
It makes me happy every time I walk by it honestly
April 10, 2025 at 5:50 AM
Totally fair!

I am not sure if all of their filament is manufactured in China (probably is) but I know they have one of their two facilities here in the US.

I am expecting to move very soon so trying not to buy anything more I have to move >.<

Filament is organized

Fair enough. I just got mine in December right before their little stunt. I have still been so happy with it as a newbie though to the whole space
April 9, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Is this for a Bambu AMS or a different setup?

Because if I could be able to make tags for my non Bambu filaments...
April 9, 2025 at 8:12 PM
That seems a bit of an overreaction on their part then. But eh, to each their own I suppose
April 7, 2025 at 4:43 PM
I THINK it is related to knock off or counterfeit minis people 3d print instead of buying the real thing.

If they are really trying to make the point that 3d printed are just always bad, I think they are a bit misguided
April 7, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Exactly. And from the party that is supposedly in favor of American small businesses...

I take issue with the idea of copyright or IP with artifacts. IP is established by the creator and who they convey those rights to. Finding or owning an artifact is not the same. Unmaintained copyright enters the public domain.

The photos are the only violation here.

I just got some of those rainbows for my babies. They have all been at it.
April 6, 2025 at 2:26 AM
This isn't loss.

Because this is actually good
April 6, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Nah. More "I know 3d printers exist" energy.

People with printers onow their limitations instead of thinking they are just magical devices like Star Trek replicators
April 5, 2025 at 3:27 PM
All I am seeing is VLC lol

3d printing only solves plastic minis really. Wood filaments are not going to be a good substitute for wooden components.

And there are factories dedicated to ONLY board games. They are the biggest they have ever been
April 4, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Well, to start with, you have all the paper components. Printing and cutting those takes a lot of specialized equipment too to be done at scale.

Then there is the matter than neoprene mats have become quite popular.

Wooden components are another issue.

Some like to use metal coins (cont)
April 4, 2025 at 9:14 PM
There are a lot of the components that are not 3d printable though. And 3d printing at scale is also not cheap to set up, particularly quickly.
