I mean post whatever you want on your feed and people can unfollow if they want, but I've watched literally dozens of artists crash out over lack of engagement and exposure when 95% of their media tab is memes and selfies and 5% is actual art. Not a great way to sell yourself or get commissions.

We absolutely 100% called them "floppies". If there was confusion, you'd just say what size. I had multiple older computers growing up, my first PC didn't have a CD drive and only had a disk drive. I stored all the cool Dragon Ball Z pictures I found on 3.5" disks. They were called floppies.

I mean how many pieces of indie queer media get turned into TV shows, cis gay men or not? Cause if it's for us queers, it ain't getting turned into shit. But when it's for straight women (95% of whom are white), publishers will throw money at a book/series/franchise to turn it into a show or movie.

Content written by and for cis gay men doesn't appeal to straight women, so it doesn't get nearly as popular. And so it gets far, far fewer chances at being anything mainstream that requires convincing publishers to be interested, like TV shows. Most cis gay men are and stay indie publishers.
