Ceramicist, knitter, spinner, artist, IT Security specialist, and animal lover. My favorite saying is, "The more I know my dog, the less I like people."
Most people don't know but Italy is one of the most active countries in Europe. I remember visiting Sicily, in August of 2004, staying near Mt. Etna, and hearing loud pops like fire crackers. Two months later, there was a major eruption, wiping out towns we'd driven through.

Loved your Substack on this, and I am so touched by the escalator taking the heat for the terrorist crime!

Not so much morons, as utterly incapable of sound common sense reasoning. They will believe any nonsense the "dear leader" spews, without even trying to determine if it makes the least sense.

I replied to someone, just for the record... In Sweden, the animal is called an elk. And btw, it is about 3/4 or so the size of a typical North American moose

In Sweden they don't call it a moose. I think I recall their calling them an elk.

Thanks. That's an amazing tribute to your mother. She left her legacy in you. You're paying it forward for her.

An insult to my female pup. How about calling them a whiny cockroach?

Send them back to Germany, if they'll have them...

OK, I was just being extremely literal. If you think I was wrong, fine...

It originates from Latin, then into Italian. In both languages, the ending "-a" refers to a female, while "-o" is used for male nouns. I was being a bit pedantic about it, since all nouns in both languages are either masculine or feminine, whether or not you're referring to an actual person
