PART2 It mainly revolves around the hat. Which I would wear everyday if I could but I have also taken out a few small children with it so probably not.
I am so happy I found this white cotton trim, it was the perfect shape for Rosie's hat and I got to do something new. I got to dye the trim and it turned out to be such an amazing color. 🤩🤩 I find dyeing natural fibers so much easier than synthetic and sure there are synthetic dyes the color just isn't there. The hat base is DONE. I used an existing hat which I normally don't do but there wasn't really any need to male a full new hat. The fabric on the crown isn't as smooth as I wanted but after I put on all the details you will never see the base. And yes while I know it is a cop out I love putting texture into the inside of large brim hats by gathering the lining. It just gives more visual interest. 😜 if you don't like it, we'll sue me ALLLLLLL THE STUFF and I love it. You also can't see it but I am trying on the hat with the wig. Which is very important, wigs are going to make your head circumference bigger so hats that fit your head without a wig will not fit your head with a wig. Makeup test done... and I don't hate it. Also you can see the shirt I got then added the trim. Not going to lie I kind of love this look without the bolero.

It's super important, especially if you are worried about shape and fit to make a mock-up. It can be any fabric as long as it has the same qualities as the final product (stretch use stretch, ect) The first section is down. I decided to go with a vest on top instead of a jacker with sleeves, so Rosie's bolero will have the sleeves. The shape and fit of the skirt is great. I can put the waistband down and then all the strips at the bottom😮‍💨😮‍💨 soooooo many strips. Rosie's skirt is DONE, and the shape is perfect. I am starting the bolero with the sleeves WE HAVE SLEEVES !!! And with that, the body of this cosplay is done. I am thinking of just finding a black shirt and adding the cranberry details, but that is for part 2😉
