In 1989, the Irwin sisters played Kansas. I shot their first band, Blue Night Express, at the WVF with siblings Troy and Sharon Gilchrist. I shot the Dixie Chicks cowboy act there. The late Laura Lynch was pushed out, as was Robin Macy who runs Bartlett Arboretum in Wichita. #thechicks #dixiechicks
