So @60minutes.bsky.social just ran a gushing piece about the University of Austin, the “anti-woke” university founded by among others, Bari Weiss + Niall Ferguson. Paramount, which bought CBS and cancelled Colbert, is about to buy Weiss’s Free Press. Seeing the future. Not loving it.

On Wednesday ICE agents descended on Martha’s Vineyard, profiling people, terrorizing our friends and neighbors, and abducting 20 hardworking people. They covered their faces but not their arms. Did someone say something about tattoos and gangs?

@nickkristof.bsky.social I’m a huge fan and really appreciate this piece but I wish we could stop embracing “elites” to describe educated, decent folks like you and me. It was coined as a pejorative. Your message of open-mindedness is well taken. Rejecting labels begins at home.
