So, all three scales did print out successfully, and show really good details, however, the fins do need to be made thicker!

Sidewinder AIM-9-L fully drawn on CAD, with added sacrificial tabs to aid printing. Will do a test print tonight, see how it looks.

Aim-9-L Sidewinder WIP. front fins added, need some slight tidying up and the angles sorting, but that's about right, added sacrificial fin extensions on to the rear fins, so the supports have somewhere to attach to, that isn't directly on the model.

Revell 1/32 nightfighter, primer done, metal areas sprayed flat aluminium, then top coat of the RAF night finish. Used a mix of black, grey, blue and white to get as best as I can accurate colour. Going to be chipping metal contact areas in the wings and fuselage.

Exactly! I did end up gluing them in place, then take a metal file to sand it down a couple of time, just to make it look right. Primer>sand>primer>sand again,
>primer > paint.

The decals are crap, fitment is crap, the whole build has been an absolute pain from start to finish. Never had a kit I’ve had to add wooden braces to make it fit.

Front and rear stencils designed and cut on cricut, masked and painted on. Also neatened up the rear fuselage aircraft number. Trying to use as little decals as I can, opting to masking and painting them on. #scalemodel

Sorted the overspray, removed the remains roundels, cut masks and applied in their place.
I’ll get them fully masked up and painted tomorrow.

Repainted the underside, put the fuselage aircraft number on and pulled the roundel off with my thumb.
Have to paint that on too 🫠

These looked an absolute bag of shit, decals were terrible. Didn’t lay down properly. Cut some masks and going to spray them once I’ve repainted the wings.

Engine areas masked and sprayed, and a couple other little parts so wasn’t too happy with amended. Ready for landing gear, wing tip fuel tanks and final assembly. Then clear coat, decals and pretty much done. #scalemodels
