I am saddened that the relationship is over. Canada will be even better, more diverse, less reliant on U.S. economy and much stronger.

It is time for Canadians to wave the flag, say WE are the land of freedom, we are democracy and we are safe.

My assessment was based on their nonchalant press conference. Neither expressed outrage or any level of discontent.

I expected a strong rebuke. It wasn't there.

This is as close to a Martial Law Declaration as you get w/o crossing the line.

FYI, it is a holiday here in Ontario Canada, called Civic Holiday. It was established to give people a 3-day weekend midsummer.
